About Me

Hey, I’m Helena, a proud mama of four little babies, lucky wife to the love of my life, and the original heart behind TheMegaMom.
I live a life that is loud, full of hugs, silly moments, and way too many snack breaks, and that’s exactly how I like it.
How It All Started?
Let me take you back a few years. At the time, I was already juggling life with our sweet 3-year-old daughter and our mischievous 2-year-old son. We were deep in the world of sippy cups and building blanket forts on the living room floor.
Then one day, we got the biggest surprise ever: TWINS.
Yes, two babies at once! That moment shifted everything. We laughed, we cried, we panicked a little (okay, a lot), and then we realized, this was our wild and wonderful story now.
My husband and I talked and decided the best choice was for me to stay home full-time. It wasn’t an easy decision, but it was absolutely the right one. I wanted to be present for the chaos, the joy, the diaper changes, the bedtime stories, and even the occasional meltdown in the cereal aisle.
That decision also gave birth to The Mega Mom, a place to share the lessons, laughter, love, and sometimes even the laundry struggles of parenting.
Life With Four Under Four

Imagine having four children under the age of four. It’s not for the faint of heart. Our days are packed. I wake up early and usually go to bed too late. In between, I’m doing everything from packing lunches to wiping sticky hands, cleaning up spills, and running the washing machine like it’s a marathon.
It’s not always easy. There are hard days, long nights, and times when I feel like I’m doing everything wrong. But through it all, I’ve learned the power of laughing through the mess.
Because every tantrum is followed by a snuggle, every chaotic dinner ends with a goodnight kiss. Every spilled juice box eventually becomes a story to tell.
And that’s what this blog is: a place to tell those stories.
Why I Started TheMegaMom.com
When I started this blog, I needed an outlet. Somewhere to pour my heart out, to connect with other moms who were also wondering if they were doing it all wrong, or maybe, just maybe, doing it right in their own perfectly imperfect way.
I wanted to build a space that was more than recipes and routines. I wanted a community.
So I started writing. About mom life. About surviving toddler tantrums. About winning at snack time. About organizing toys without losing your mind. About finding joy in the middle of dirty laundry and dishes that never end.
I wanted to share the things that helped me, and I hoped they’d help someone else too.
And you know what? They did.
Readers started emailing me. Commenting. Sharing their own stories. Laughing with me. Crying with me. Cheering each other on.
That’s when I knew: The Mega Mom wasn’t just my blog anymore. It was our place.
Sarah – My Sister and Creative Partner
Where do I start with Sarah? She’s my younger sister and one of the funniest, most imaginative people I know. When I was drowning in baby bottles and burp cloths, Sarah would show up with iced coffee and say, “You’re doing amazing“.
Eventually, I convinced her to join the blog and help me write some posts. Fast forward, and now she’s writing more than I am! (It’s true. I started the blog, but somehow she’s taken it over, can you believe it?)
She’s also our resident Pinterest wizard, she’s the reason half our projects actually turn out cute!
Meet Lofy – Our Beloved Cat and Quiet Guardian

Of course, we can’t talk about The Mega Mom without introducing Lofy, our family’s sweet and clever cat. She’s not just a pet, she’s part of the story too.
We met Lofy on a breezy autumn day. Sarah and I were out walking when we heard the softest little meow from under a bush. There she was, tiny, trembling, and completely alone.
I wrapped her in my scarf, brought her home, and gave her a warm bed. The moment my husband saw her curled up and purring in my arms, he melted. Lofy became ours from that moment on.
She’s grown up alongside our kids, and she’s witnessed every moment of this wild family life. She’s quiet but observant, always slipping into the room when someone needs a cuddle or curling up beside me while I type blog posts late at night.
The twins love to tell stories where she’s a superhero cat or a princess with magical whiskers. Our older two consider her their silent, furry sibling.
Readers often spot Lofy in our blog photos, lounging on a windowsill, napping on a pile of laundry, or inspecting our latest craft project. She adds a touch of calm to our chaos.
Some days, I swear she’s the one keeping it all together around here.
