Gluten free foods for our Christmas Eve Party

With a gluten intolerant husband I’ve had to come up with some gluten free options for when we host Christmas Eve, or any party for that matter.  It’s not as hard as some people think to incorporate Gluten free options.  In this post you’ll find dishes that I’ve turned Gluten free and no one has noticed, as well as some naturally gluten dishes. So, if you’re in need of some gluten free inspiration, read on!

Eggplant Parm

Last year I made a gluten free version of eggplant parm after a request from my husband.  Once I discover Aleias gluten free panko breadcrumbs, it’s been super easy turning classic favorites (chicken parm is another) into gluten free favorites!

Bread your eggplant with these, make sure your sauce is gluten free if you use canned and viola, gluten free eggplant parm. Nobody realized it was any different when I made it last year! It was delicious!

Mac and Cheese

This mac and cheese recipe is the absolute best! It’s so good that even after substituting gluten free pasta, gluten free breadcrumbs and corn starch in place of flour…it was still amazing!! The entire tray went last Christmas eve!

To make this recipe gluten free, replace your pasta and breadcrumbs with gluten free options and replace the flour with corn starch. Easy peasy!

Stuffed Mushrooms

To see my stuffed Mushroom recipe click here! To make them gluten free make 1 simple change, just replace the breadcrumbs with Aleias gluten free panko breadcrumbs.  No one has ever noticed a difference when I switched the breadcrumbs.

Shepherd’s Pie

The shepherds pie I make is gluten free. To see my recipe click here. This is a great dish for a party.  It’s easy to make a big tray of it and you can make it ahead of time.

Those are some main dishes that I serve gluten free. Here are few simple ideas for your gluten intolerant family and friends to enjoy without worry!

  • Tomato and fresh mozzarella
  • Veggies and dip, Hidden Valley Ranch is always gluten free
  • Chips and salsa, regular tostitos are gluten free and most salsa is too
  • Kielbasa and pineapple skewers, gluten free and super yummy
  • Cheese and pepperoni platter, just keep crackers on a separate dish and then you have a yummy safe snack for your gluten intolerant family and/or friends.

I hope this list will help if you are struggling to come up with Gluten free foods to serve at your party!  If you have any questions about any of these dishes please leave them in the comments below!! I’m always open to suggestions if you have any great gluten free meals, please share!!

Meghan, I love this site! I need to make the Shepherd’s Pie, but I can’t “click here”. There is no link. I have a ladies group, and once a week we get together for dinner and games. The host cooks dinner. One member needs gluten free meals and this page is just great for me!
