When our minivan was totalled, aside from having to deal with insurances, getting a new ride and thanking the heavens above for no one getting hurt….we also had to replace our carseats.
Carseats, a necessary expense
Buying car seats is never really fun. It’s a necessity, and not an inexpensive one. You want the safest one, of course, but when some car seats run upwards of $300 you really need to look at all your options. Especially with twins, when every expense is times 2!
Another thing we had to take into consideration was the fact that our twins will be 3 years old next month and are 35 lbs. They have 2 more years, tops, and they’ll be moving onto booster seats.
Research, always do your research

My favorite things about this seat
- How easy it is to remove the cover and clean it.
- Super lightweight and easy to get in and out of the car.
- It exceeds Federal Safety Standards!
- It can safely seat a child with the 5 point harness up to 65 lbs.
- The harness can be removed so it can transform into a belt positioning booster for up to 100 lbs.
- The very reasonable price
The ability to transform into a booster seat was very appealing to me. With our twins being so big and only a year or 2 away from growing out of a traditional carseat this option was easily the best choice for us! They can stay with this seat until they no longer need a carseat or booster seat anymore.
When the seats arrived I was very pleased. The shipping was fast and everything was intact. All I had to do was pull the seats out and unravel the buckles. From there they went right into our van. They are super lightweight and I had zero problems installing them into our van.
The cover is very nice quality and seems to be very comfortable. You can see how easy it will be to keep clean. It looks like I could easily wipe it down in between full washings too. Not to mention our twins appear to LOVE them! They were so excited to get in them and looked so nice and comfy! Safety, easy to clean and the twins like them…everything I was looking for!
So if you find yourself needing to get a new carseat, for whatever reason, at this stage of your child’s growth, I would highly recommend getting this one!
