Make talking online safety with your young kids easier

I came across something really wonderful recently and had to share! Lego has created activity packs (free!) to build and talk online safety with your kids.

Our kids are entering their digital age, online safety is now a necessity.

Our kids are entering that age when they are getting into the digital world. They are gaming, watching videos, using kids messenger to communicate with friends, among other things. On top of that, thanks to the cornonavirus pandemic, their schooling is mostly virtual and online now. So, this is the world we live in. And it’s my job as a parent to not just protect my kids, but to also educate them (and myself) about the world around them as much as I can. To me, that means using every tool out there to help. Anything that can make a conversation about online safety with my young kids easier sounds good to me!

You pick your character. Then, you build, making it as close to the same or as different as you want. The activity pack includes talking points and easy conversation starters to cover all the different aspects of online safety. If you have a kid into Legos like I do, this is definitely something you want to check out!

I’ll be doing this over the next few days with my own kids so be sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook to see how it goes!

There’s lots for your little Lego fan at lego.com too!

If your kid is into Legos I highly recommend heading over to Lego.com and just exploring the website. It has a lot to offer for kids of all ages! You can sign up for their newsletter and their free magazine that comes 4 times a year. There are plenty of games, activities and videos on the website too!
