MegaMom’s Beef Stew Gluten Free Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 – 1 1/2 lbs. of Stew Meat
- 2 tbsp Corn starch
- 1 tbsp Paprika
- Olive oil
- 1 tbsp of Butter
- 5 pieces of Bacon, cut up
- 1/2 an onion, chopped
- 4 cups of Beef Broth
- 2 tbsp of Worcestershire
- 3 Carrots (sometimes I only have baby carrots on hand and I just chop up a couple handfuls)
- 1 celery stalk
- 4 Potatoes
- Bay Leaf
Instructions
Step 1
Heat 1 tbsp of oil and 1 tbsp of butter in a deep skillet. Add bacon.
Step 2
While your bacon cooks mix corn starch, salt, pepper and paprika together. Toss your beef in mixture and coat.
Step 3
Once your bacon is cooked remove from skillet, chop up and add to crock pot. Leave all the bacon grease in the pan (you’ll use that to brown your meat).
Step 4
Add your beef to the deep skillet and brown on all sides. Add onions and cook for a few minutes.
Step 5
Transfer beef and onions to crock pot.
Step 6
Add broth and worchestershire to deep skillet. Bring it to a low boil and gently stir to deglaze the pan. Then pour that into the crock pot.
Step 7
Add the rest of your ingredients and mix it all together. Cook on low for 8 – 10 hours.
This meal will make your house smell amazing!!
